Saturday, the Lakeland Equestrian Division A team claimed the District 1 championship as a result of its efforts during the past 3 meets. The team will compete in Regionals this weekend at the Shiawasee Fair Grounds for a chance to attend the State competition.

Equestrian team competing in State Finals; Abbi Hill already a State Champion

Today, the Lakeland Equestrian team started the 2-day State Finals competition in Midland, MI. Early results include an individual State Title for junior Abbi Hill in the Western Showmanship event. Saturday, the Lakeland Equestrian team made history by defeating Milford and South Lyon to earn its first District I Division A Championship. By virtue of its Regional Reserve Champions status at this past weekend’s Regional competition, the Lakeland Equestrian team will be competing at the State Finals in 2 weeks at the Midland County Fairgrounds.
