Track athletes open season with events at Saginaw Valley State University

Wednesday,  the student-athletes from both Lakeland Track teams competed in the annual Saginaw Valley State University Invitational. This is an indoor event held at the university hosting 28 Division 1 teams and is our yearly kick-off to the track season. While our entire team did not compete at this event, many did and represented Lakeland well.

Girls Bowlers earn various All-State honors

Yesterday, bowling coach Ron Pelc announced that four student-athletes from the Girls Bowling team earned  MHSAA  All-State recognition as determined by the MHSIBCA (Coach’s Association), Jenny  Pelc (12th)  and Taylor McBride (14th), both of whom competed in the Individual State Finals and finished in the top 16 overall in the state, were both named as 3rd

Gymnastics team finishes 8th at the State Finals
